First GNU Linux Installation - What do you need?
If you still using Windows Operative System instead of GNU Linux, because it is much difficoult from you to pass from an automatic like based GUI Desktop (Windows) to the GNU Linux where you have costantly to edit your installations with the Terminal. Probably you know there is the diversity of these two approaches the real problem.
Before to do any installation, try to do much experience thanks to Virtual Box program. And to learn rapidly how to handle this System with a different approach logic. For sure, you have to search all the time articles around the web or just watch videotutorials on YouTube (only the latest versions, never follow the outdated methods).
I really think that GNU Linux is not a difficoult Operative System, but the majour difficoulty for any nephite user is the difficoulty to find working methods because of the continue outdated informations on the Internet.

- Preinstalled Operative System on the Machines or some installation Services.
- Smart guides or tutorials (like an index of the Operative System).
- Everyday updated articles with Tutorials and Videotutorials on Internet.
- A powerful and useful Desktop Enviroment barely similar to the Windows logic, with the same comfortably functions (this will make the difference).
- Major software compatibility and update avaibility (many software companies doesn't support Linux as they do with Windows).
- Better GUI Template for the Desktop Enviroment (like PapyrOS with Material Design) or Custom with GTK+ (for newbies its such a pain to install them..).
- Better PC Gaming experience.. Anyway, there is a specific Distro for these pourpose = Steam OS.
- 360 Desktop experience and VR compatibility (better than any multi-monitor solution).
What you have to do to take advantage of these powerful Operative System?
- Change your approach logic.. GNU Linux is not Windows, so It will not working like Windodws without any customizzation.
- Before to make a clean installation on your machine, try to do some experience with some Virtual Machine software. And install the Ubuntu or Debian distros (they not use the same command methods) then try them for long time. Solution after solution, you will earn experience.
- For an easy usage and approach, always search for specific articles, videotutorials (always updated, do not follow the outdated methods) or the forums support.
- Install the Flash and Java plugins,
- Install a different Desktop Enviroment or customize the current pre-installed on your distro.
- If you are searching for a desktop that could be modern, you have to learn how to install templates on GNU Linux. Or switch to Chromium OS and PapyrOS.
Remember always that GNU Linux is a free Operative System made from volunteers programmers and a few companies. You can't paragonate GNU Linux project to Windows without undestrand the nature of these Operative System and of the whole work behind it.
